| I received your
communication of the 13th inst this morning and immediately sent to
the Treasury Department to ascertain why Bonds were not placed to the
credit of Captain Grant, and was informed that the mistake was
occasioned by the Warrant Clerk who neglected to insert Bonds in the
Warrant. |
| Immediate steps will
be taken by the Secretary of the Treasury to have the correction made,
and in a few days the Bonds will be subject to the order of Captain
Grant. |
