| Captain, |
| In a conversation held with Capt. Haydon
when in Richmond he informed me that he could furnish much valuable
information to be embodied on a skeleton map of Tennessee & Kentucky. In
a note recently received from him I learn that there is a German
Draughtsman in Atlanta, well known to you who might be advantageously
employed on such a map. If after further examination & enquiry you deem
the undertaking judicious, please employ the said Draughtsman at a
reasonable compensation directing that only such information be embodied
on the map as is really reliable. |
| Very respectfully yours |
