Endorsement on letter of Mr. George Yonge Esq. Supt
Georgia Rail Road to Colonel Wm. M. Wadley, Asst. Adjt. Genl. and by him
referred to Hon. Sec. of War, dated Augusta, Geo April 30th '63 in
reference to the seizure of 500 tons of old iron belonging to the
Georgia Rail Road. |
"Respectfully returned to the Hon. Sec.
of War. On the application of this Bureau the Hon. Sec. of the Navy
sent a telegram to Mr. J. G. Minor Agent of his Dept. in reference to
the seizure of the old iron belonging to the Georgia R. Road Company, to
which the following reply has just been received. |
"Atlanta, Geo. 18th May '63 |
The Georgia R. Rd. iron was rolled into
plates in January & February and sent to Charleston & Savannah. I expect
to give them some Brunswick. |
