Sir, |
After consulting with Major Lt. Johns, I
have the honor to recommend that Geo. G. Hull Esqr
{Superintendent, Atlanta & West Point RR} member of the
commission to consider the question procuring iron for naval & military
purposes, be paid a compensation of twenty five dollars ($25) per day
for his services on said commission; the term of service to embrace the
number of days he was absent from his place of business in Atlanta Geo:
viz: from the 16th to the 28th Inst inclusive, equal to thirteen days @
$25 pr diem $325. |
The rate of compensation is the same as
paid to Mr Hull in a case of arbitration submitted to him & others by
the Nitre Bureau a short time ago. |
