| I have applied to
the Nitre & Mining Bureau for the bar iron called for by your
recent requisition, and am now informed by Col. St John "that it
cannot be filled sooner than April & that pig iron can be
furnished, but not bar iron until the Genl Comdg allows additional
details of skilled workmen." |
| If the iron is still
needed at that time I will renew the requisition after 1st of April. |
