I have the honor to acknowledge the rect
of your communication of this day, inclosing letter from Mr. Geo
Wadsworth, & enquiring whether those engaged in the construction
of the "Blue Mountain & Rome RR" {the
Alabama & Tennessee River RR} cannot be assured of
the certainty of getting iron when the grading is ready. |
The duty of ascertaining sources from
which iron can be procured for Rail road & other purposes, has
been assigned to a Commission who expect to have a meeting in a few
days, when they will decide on the subject of your inquiry. |
