General, |
I earnestly request that Private A.
Saunders of Capt J. F. C. Potts' company, 25th Battalion Va. Vols. be
detailed to aid in laying the track on the Piedmont Rail Road, with
orders to report to Capt. E. T. D. Myers, Corps of Engrs. P. A. C. S. &
Chief Engineer of that Rail Road, at Danville, Va. |
Private Saunders is represented to be a
skillful track layer, and as the services of such artisans are greatly
needed to expedite the work on that important link of railway connection
between Danville & Greensboro, I hope the requested detail will be
granted. |
Very Respectfully |
