For Bridge over Clinch River at Clinton,
Mr. Mr. Maxwell contractor calls for bolts and 30 tons of pig iron. |
Bolts have been ordered. Ordnance
Department counsels that impressment of pig iron be made in vicinity
of Murfreesboro, Tenn. If pig iron cannot thus be obtained, Ordnance
Dept. will furnish. {The bridge was
completed by Union forces in early 1864} |
