| In reply to your letter of 28th ult. I
have the honor to say that under p. II, G. O. 49 for 1863 you are
entitled to receive your personal expenses while engaged on
Reconnaissance &c under orders. |
| There appears to be no objection to your
paying yourself, out of the funds in your hands, on your own acct &
receipt as a voucher. But you will observe that the order requires the
acct to be approved by the officer under whose order you acted. |
