I respectfully request that a stout wagon
with four (4) good mules be sent without delay to Hamilton's Crossing {on
the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac RR} with orders to report to Capt. H. T. Douglas Asst. Engr., to aid in
removing the iron secured from the Rail road beyond the Rappahannock,
from the river bank to the Rail road. Without this assistance, much
delay will result in the collection of the iron so much needed --
possibly a total failure. |
