Endorsement on bill of iron for Hiawassee
Bridge of 8th Oct 1863 -- forwarded by Mr. A. L. Maxwell Jr. who
proposes to use for the above bridge the iron ordered from the Tredegar
Works by the Bureau on 20th July 1863, for the construction of the
bridge at Strawberry Plains &c, which are now in the hands of the
enemy. |
Engr Bureau 19 Oct 1863. As the work for
which the iron is intended is of great importance, Mr Anderson will
please have prepared, as rapidly as possible what is yet wanting to
