Richmond Oct 9th/63 requesting an application to the Commissary General
for authority for Mr Burns to purchase meat for his hands employed in
taking up railroad iron. |
Engineer Bureau Oct 10th 1863.
Respectfully referred to Col. Northrop with favorable recommendation. Mr
Burn's force of 80 hands will be at work for a month or six weeks in
saving the Brunswick {& Albany} Railroad
iron, now greatly needed by the Government. |
