enclose for your consideration, copies of communications from Capt. L.
P. Grant, Corps Engrs. P. A. C. S. with the request that you will,
after perusing them, report your views in regard to the possibility
& propriety of procuring from the sources enumerated, as well as
any others that my occur to you, the supply of iron required to
complete the important railway connection between Blue Mountain, Ala.
and Rome, Ga. |
