| Your letter of Dec 17th 1862 applying for
a Captaincy in the Engineer Corps P. A. C. S. & addressed to Lieut Genl
Pemberton, by whom it has been favorably endorsed, has been referred to
this Bureau. At present there are no vacancies, but this letter,
together with others in your behalf has been placed on file for future
consideration should a vacancy occur. The Bureau is pleased to recognise
the very favorable character of the above letters, as well as the merit
of your service. |
