Cannot hear from Richmond. Genl Hardee telegraphs that nothing can be
done at Pearl River at present. All prepared for constructing the
bridge. Engines there slightly injured. Cars uninjured. R. R. being
repaired. Has urged with success the connection of Ala & Miss
{Rivers} RR by rail. 4 mules & bridge
across Bigbee River with assurance of good assistance to commence as
soon as tools are obtained ??? of shovels. Relative to the removal of
Rolling Stock &c |
