Has telegraphed Col Garnett, but received no answer. Capt Walker told
him to take up iron to Waynesville. Prest Schleiker
{Brunswick & Florida RR} says order calls
for 16 miles. Should he discharge his force? Capt Walker said he would
write General Gilmer to remove the iron from the whole road. Is awaiting
instructions. |
