Your letter received, the amended charter of the Alabama & Tennessee
River RR Co. a copy of which has been sent you by mail. Approved Feb.
10th 1862, sec. 6 says in part, full power and authority are hereby
given to the Board of Directors of said company to pledge in such form
as the Board of Directors may think proper by resolutions or mortgage or
deed of trust or otherwise, all means, property and effects of said
company or any part thereof &c show this to the law adviser of the War
Dept. Answer by telegraph. |
