All persons who intend leaving
Galveston must do so by tomorrow's train
{Galveston, Houston & Henderson RR}, as no trains except with
supplies will run after that. Steamboats must likewise be prohibited
from bringing way passengers. In other words Galveston is placed in
strict quarantine, as the nature of the case admits of, & you are
directed to see that measures to that and are taken, and strictly
enforced. Every assistance will be given you possible under the
circumstances. |
