I am directed by the Commanding General to inform you that
the President of the Rail Road {Galveston, Houston
& Henderson RR} reports that, barges and other craft employed by
the Quarter Masters Department to transport fuel to Colonel Nelsons
command at Virginia Point, are made fast to the bridge. In the event of
???, the bridge would be in danger of being damaged by the contact. It
is important that this should be prevented. |
