| I am directed to enquire of
any enlisted men of the line Troops, whose Services were to be replaced
by & details made for the purpose from the State Troops, still remain in
your employ, their names etc; also if the services of any men remaining
per your list of 11th cannot be replaced in like manner; it has been
started that some of the first named men are still with you. |
| The great importance of
returning all men fit for duty to their respective commands during the
present emergency whose services can be replaced or dispensed with
occasions these enquiries. Your earliest attention hereto is
particularly requested. |
