| I am instructed by Maj. Genl.
Magruder to state that from representations made at these Hd Qrs, by the
Mayor of Houston, Mr Andrews, in regard to the bad condition of the
street at and near the Depot of your road in the city, you will give the
necessary orders for the transportation of shells over your road for the
repair of the said streets. |
| This, however, will only be
done when it does not interfere with the carrying of Govt freight. |
