VI The Supt of the
{Houston & Texas} Central Rail Road will immediately place at the
disposal of Capt W. S. Good Ord Officer (20) twenty box cars and a
locomotive to leave for Navasota as soon as many cars as the locomotive
can pull when loaded. The train will leave when Capt Good directs.

VIII The Conductor of the train going to
Columbia {Houston Tap & Brazoria RR}
tomorrow will, on his return, bring back from Columbia the machinery now
at that depot belonging to the Ordnance Department. |

XVI ***** Col. Duff will remain and assume
comd in that portion of the country, and will carry out the orders given
Col Darden to destroy the wharves, stores, houses &c at La Indianola &
Powderhorn & also the R. R. {San Antonia & Mexican
Gulf RR} (embracing engines, cars & everything connected with it)
from La. to Victoria. ***** |

XXIII Maj. Jno. E Garey will immediately
send into Galveston and get cisterns which will be brought out on the
railroad {Galveston, Houston & Henderson RR}
& filled with water and left at Virginia Point. These water tanks
to be always kept full. Some may be placed there & others placed & kept
on the train to bring down water so as to fill up the tanks at Virginia
Point. A good supply of water will always be kept on hand. |
