| II Maj. Leon Smith will proceed with the
utmost dispatch to Saluria, and will instruct Col Bradfute, or in his
absence, will himself, get every Negro, spade & implement from the
{Matagorda} Island, and have them in
readiness to tear up the {San Antonio & Mexican
Gulf} Rail Road, and to use the Negroes to fortify Victoria
immediately. |
