VII Capt Heriot is hereby directed to see
immediately Mess Hutchins, Brown and Converse on the subject of making
connexion with the utmost possible dispatch, between the N. O.
{Texas & New Orleans RR} & Central
{Houston & Texas Central RR} & between the
Galveston {Galveston, Houston & Henderson RR}
and Central, and also to press the R. R. between Alleyton and
Columbus {Columbus Tap RR}, and to make a
weekly report on the progress of the work to these Head Quarters. |

XIV The Comdg officer of the (2d) Second
Texas Infantry will be prepared to march with his command forthwith by
Railway Cars to Columbia {Houston Tap & Brazoria
RR}; they will take with them the rations they have drawn, at
least five days. |
The Comdg officer will report
to these Head Quarters the quantity of rations taken. |
XV The (3) three Co's of State Troops at
Harrisburg will proceed at once to Galveston by rail
{Galveston, Houston & Henderson RR}. On
their arrival at Galveston (5) five companies of Debrays Regt of Cavalry
will march immediately to Harrisburg and as other Companies of State
Troops reach Galveston a like number of Debrays Regt will proceed to
Harrisburg. |
XVI The Comdg officer of Wauls Legion at
Hempstead will move with his comd immediately on the
{Houston & Texas} Central Rail Road train,
to camp Lubbock, near Houston, leaving an officer of his Command at
Hempstead to direct the men who may arrive a Hempstead to join the
Legion to proceed to Camp Lubbock as above directed. |
