| The General Commanding has
instructed me to say that he regards it of the highest military
importance at this time, that there should be made an ample provision of
a sufficient amount of piles and other lumber, for the repair of the
bridges on the line of your Road, liable to destruction or material
damage by sudden incursions of the Enemy at the more exposed points. |
