| I am requested by the Genl
Comdg to acknowledge receipt of your favor of the 5th inst & to return
his thanks for the information contained therein. I am directed also to
state that the necessary orders have been given to have proper receipts
furnished the Charl & Savannah Rail Road for all Cylinders taken from
the Company {probably those used for building
bridges across rivers}, so as to enable it hereafter, to
establish a claim against the Government. |
