Your telegram of yesterday received. I had ordered that no more iron be
taken from Statesville Road {Atlantic, Tennessee &
Ohio RR} than was necessary to make the vital repairs on
{Richmond &} Danville Road. Ask the Sec. of
War to authorize my instructions to agent to remain in this form. Reply. |
