Major Jas. ?. Edmonston, Inspector Field Transportation,
Greensboro, will turn over all draught animals under his charge to the
officers of the Q. M. Dept. charged with the duty of hauling supplies
across the break in the Richmond & Danville Road for the Army of
Northern Va. |

Those at Greensboro & its vicinity will be delivered to
Maj. S. R. Chisman, Post Quarter Master and those at Clarkesville Va
will be delivered to the Post Quartermaster at Danville Va. All however
to be held subject to the orders of Major George Johnston Chief
Inspector Field Transportation, Richmond Va. |

Major Edmonston will notify Major George Johnston of this
action by special messenger without delay. |
