| State how many rounds of each
calibre you have, what number do you require of each calibre, small arms
& artillery. It will not do to accumulate all the ammunition in
Vicksburg. The RR cannot transport corn & ordnance at the same time. Ten
thousand bushels have been forwarded {about 67 car
loads on the Southern (of Mississippi) RR} within the last four
days which do you need most. |
