| In reply to your communication
of this day's date, desiring an additional guard at the Depot for the
purpose of preventing infringement of order &c, I am directed by the Lt.
Genl. Comdg to say that in a personal interview had with the President &
Vice Presdt of the Southern {(of Mississippi)}
R. R. he was positively assured that no such irregularities as
you refer to were allowed to take place and that the duly prescribed
orders strictly regarded. |
