| The Lt. Genl. Comdg directs
that you furnish fifty (50) negroes to the chief engineer of the
Southern {(of Mississippi)} R. R. for
the purpose of assisting in the matter of transportation, if you have
them not here, you will take immediate steps to get them. Let one half
have axes & the other half spades, it is also necessary that they should
have some white man with them. |
