I understand that some 275 bars R. R. iron
{about six tenths of a mile, both rails}
was shipped yesterday to Selma on the Steamer St. Nicholas. This iron
was brought here for the use of the Navy (Capt. Johnson) and its
shipment is an error committed by some one. Will you please telegraph to
Selma, have this iron returned on the boat and brought ??? on her return
trip. |
