Maj. Genl. E. Kirby Smith directs me to
say that Mr. R. I. Wilson, proprietor and manager of the Rochford Mill,
is authorized to bring to this point, (to forward to the above named
mills) two hundred (200) bales of cotton, referred to in your letter of
the 20th inst. on condition that said cotton shall be burned, if in
danger of falling into the hands of the enemy. |
