You will take charge of the E. Tenn. & Va.
Rail Road from Chattanooga & Bristol, for the following purpose: The
security of the Commissary stores along those lines. To this end, you
will employ the rolling stock of the two Railroads and the Steamboat on
the Holston river. The Commissary stores east of Knoxville will be
removed to Lynchburg Va & those west of Knoxville will be transported to
Atlanta Ga. |
