| XI Col K B Delray will cause two 8 in
Howitzers, one 32 pd smooth & one 30 pd Parrot Gun now on Galveston
Island placed in battery at "Fort Point" under the direction of Col
Sulakewski, at "Fort Bankhead" he will have in the same manner placed
one 8 in Howitzer now on the RR car {Galveston,
Houston & Henderson RR} at Galveston & Two 32 pd smooth (one at
Galveston, the other at Va. point), at Fort "Magruder" Two 10 inch
Columbiads now in Galveston, Two 8 inch Columbiads now on RR Car at
Galveston & one 8 in siege mortar, at Fort "Scurry" Two 10 in Mortars
now at Galveston, One 32 Rifle gun taken from the Westfield now in
Houston will be sent down for Fort Point, One 8 inch Columbiad taken
from the "Westfield" & two shell Guns from the Harriet Lane for Fort "Magruder"
and one 8 in gun from the Harriet Lane for Fort Scurry, & two 32 pds
from Morgans Point & Anahuac for South Battery. Two Columbiads are to
remain on the cars to be used on them. Two 24 pds on the Floating Batty
& Two 18 pds with one 24 pd (24 now at Anahuac) to be placed in works
for the protection of the R Road. |
