II Major Henry Pendleton, Q. M., will make
the necessary arrangements in regard to transportation by Rail Road for
the Federal prisoners paroled for exchange, and now at Hempstead
{on the Houston & Texas Central RR}. The
transportation will be at Hempstead on the 8th Dec. to bring down all
the Federal prisoners, about four hundred in number, and one company of
Anderson's Regm't., as escort. |
Lieut. Col. Bordee, Comd'g.
Anderson's Regm't. will cause the Federal prisoners paroled for
exchange, to cook four days rations from the 8th Dec., and will send
them down to Houston on that day, under an escort of one company from
his regm't., which will be relieved at the Depot at Houston by one
company of Spaight's Regiment. |
Col. Speight will order one
company of his regiment at the Central Rail Road Depot on the arrival of
the train to receive the Federal prisoners for exchange and relieve the
company of Anderson's Regm't. |
Capt. Loebuitz, A. Q. M. &
Act'g. Chief Qr. Mr., East. Sub Dist. of Texas will make the necessary
arrangements for the purpose of quartering the Federal prisoners on
their way to Galveston for exchange. |
