| Your note has been received relative to
coal. I will do all I can. The calls on me are very urgent & the Nacal
authorities somewhat embarrassing. I have just ordered a report of the
means of all parties furnishing coal, the quantity and rate of delivery.
I will then take all the coal & ill distribute it myself to the Navy,
the shops the steamers & the Rail Road. I see no other way. |
