Genl Maury directs me to say, that it has become necessary
for the iron of the Ala & Florida {(of Florida)}
rail road to be taken up, and applied to the replacement of the
iron of the Montgomery & W. P. rail road, recently destroyed by the
enemy. |

Mr. S. G. Jones is the appointed Agent to carry the above
into execution, and the Major Genl comdg directs that you afford him &
his employees, every protection, and give them every assistance you can,
while engaged in the work. |
