The Lieut. Genl. Comdg, is in receipt of
your dispatch of 9:30 p.m. yesterday, giving information of
movements of the enemy and your own dispositions. |
The Genl has established his Head Qrs at
this point for the present. The troops and trains are all on this
side of the River. They will rest today and move to Demopolis
tomorrow. |
Two engines will be left on west bank of
River for your use. |
The General suggests that you establish
a line of couriers to Cuba station or some other convenient point,
from which you can communicate readily with him by wire. *** |
