I am directed by the Lieut Genl Comdg to inform you, that
it has become a matter of paramount importance to move the meat
from Cuba Station to Mobile, and to direct you to place one engine and
train at Major Dameron's disposal for that purpose. Said train to be
loaded at Cuba and run through to Mobile {over the
Alabama & Mississippi Rivers RR and the Mobile & Ohio RR}. I am
further directed to say, that you are authorised and directed, to
execute this order without regard to the objections that may be raised
by RRd officials. |
