The Lieut General commanding directs that you transport by
Rail to Shubuta {Mobile & Ohio RR} about
seventy officers and men on Furlough from the Army of Tenn. These
instructions are given you in information that an Engine will be sent
down the road beyond Shubuta today for repairs, and under the impression
that it will require but one flat car for the transportation of these
troops. If however, this information is incorrect and one car (flat) is
not sufficient and its use absolutely required for another purpose and
in another direction obedience to this order is not required. |
