| I am informed by Mr Maxwell
contractor for building the Bridgeport Bridge
{Nashville & Chattanooga RR}, that he probably will be unable to
go on with his contract unless he can get 100 tons pig metal from you to
make the castings. The Maj Genl Comdg directs you to let him have that
amount of metal if possible. If there be any difficulty in the way, be
kind enough to let him know it, and he will remove it if possible. |
