The undersigned President and Secretary of
the "Baton Rouge, Grosse Tete & Opelousas Rail Road
Company" present herewith a Statement exhibiting the amount
received by the Company, up to the first day of August 1861, upon its
Capital Stock: |
Total amount of Receipts, Three hundred and four
thousand, one hundred and sixty eight 19/100 Dollars ($304,168.19);
and that they have received from the State Seventy Bonds of One
thousand Dollars, and no more, and that the Company is entitled to six
Bonds of the State of One thousand Dollars each. |

Before me, the undersigned Justice of the
Peace, duly commissioned and sworn, personally came and appeared J. V.
Duralde, president, and A. Sheppers, Secretary, of the Baton Rouge,
Grosse Tete & Opelousas Railroad Company, who being duly sworn,
state that the foregoing Statement is true and Correct; that they have
received from the State of Louisiana, on account of her subscription
to said Railroad, Seventy Bonds of one Thousand Dollars, and no more,
and that they are now entitled to receive from the State Six Bonds. |
