| I have received yours of the 5th |
| The State of Georgia, Gov Brown paid me
$100 per ton for 490 tons of new rails taken from me at Savannah last
Spring. I have not yet mention rail to the Confederate States
Government the new iron seized by their agent, but I shall expect at
least $150 per ton for that. |
