| I have this day received from Major
Meriwether a letter informing me that he had appealed from the award
of the local appraisers of property impressed from the Ala and Fla RR
Co (of Fla). |
| As I am under the necessity of leaving for
Richmond in about one week, I will not have time to obtain the
testimony I wish to present in this case until my return which will
probably be about the middle of the month. |
| Upon my return I will call upon you and
arrange for the time of trial. |
| I would be pleased if you would send to me
by express copies of the letters of Major Forney L. Milner referred to
by Major Meriwether. |
