   I do hereby certify that the following {about 25 car loads} Rail Road iron, chairs & spikes were transported over Ala & Fla Rail Road of Fla from this place to terminus of Said Road for the purpose of relaying track to connect Tattnall as per order of  Col J. R. F. Tattnall Commanding army of observation viz
871 Brs Iron Rails weighing 353626 lbs {about 1 3/4 miles of 58# rail, both tracks}
871 Chairs " 13936 {16# each} {This provides one chair per bar, so the chairs were only used at the joint of two bars, not on every tie, as was done on some railroads and as is done today.}
9581 Spikes " 4479 {1/2# spikes}
