As no slate have been received
for the service of this Armory for a long time (at least four months)
and the extension of details have been regularly made on your
requisitions, and powder supplied. I beg to request that you will report
to me without delay the number of slate you have now on hand for this
Armory, and for the Laboratory. Captain J. M. Hottle Q. M. in charge of
Transpn at Atlanta has been instructed from Richmond to furnish the
requisite transpn at Cartersville {Western &
Atlantic RR} and he has notified me that it would be supplied
when required. I beg to refer you to my letter of the 11th inst on the
subject of transpn and think that if you were to make the requisite
efforts the cars would be supplied. |
