| On the 9th inst. seventy six hogsheads of
coal were shipped at Selma on Government account to Messrs Smith and
Hartly Contractors at this place; the have not arrived yet & the foundry
of these Gentlemen has in consequence been obliged to stop operations, a
serious ??? ??? at the present crisis. Will you please ascertain if they
have arrived in Montgomery or have been shipped to this point and at
what date. |
