To His Excellency Gov. Bonham |
|
The bearer of this has a lot
of Flour which was shipped from this Depot on the 9 of February last
the flour was detained at the Junction on account of a
misunderstanding with our Roads and after it was kept back by your Agt
Mr. Thos. U. Berry the parties who own the flour live in Augusta Ga.
and purchased the Flour long before your proclamation in relation to
the Shipment of Produce the flour is all N. C. flour and was shipped
by Mr. Stenhouse by the way of the Junction to facilitate the Transportation
and not with any intention to violate the Laws of your State. The
flour is marked F & R & Gen. M. Augusta, Ga. I think you will
consider that all is right and please give me an order to which the
flour is consistent with your views. |
Yours with much Respect |
