Dear Sir, |
When the old Rails from the Union & Spartanburg
{Spartanburg & Union RR} Rail Road
Co. were forwarded to us, you recollect there was one car left behind
there overnight. Will you be so good as to inform us whether the Rails
are at Columbia or Charleston. The Charlotte & S. C. {Charlotte
& South Carolina RR} Road will soon ship us some old Rails
& that lot can come at the same time. |
Will Mr. Raworth {Superintendent,
Greenville & Columbia RR} have any for sale? We are trying
to induce the Roads to take our articles at lower freights for our
mutual benefit. Say to Raworth that we will send the spikes in a few
days. The Chub Spikes we will have to make. |
Very respectfully |
